HomeDanbury Ski Club Origins

Danbury Ski Club was founded in 1955. It's stated purpose was to "encourage participation in the sport of skiing and related activities". Today, after 60 plus years our Club promotes not only skiing; but snowboarding, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. When the snow melts, there are still plenty of activities that we organize and/or participate in: Scuba diving, rafting, hiking, kayaking, baseball and football outings and community service events. Danbury Ski Club is a 501 c (7) non-profit organization. Meetings are typically held on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month at Hatters Park Hall, 7 East Hayestown Rd. Danbury, CT.


Mad Hatter Ski Slopes was located in Danbury, CT on the present day site of Tarrywile Park. Here's a photo dated 1955; the year the Ski Club was founded:

In 2015
