Ski Andorra!

Tucked between Spanish heritage and classic French charm, Grandvalira Resorts unlocks an authentic world class destination in one of the smallest countries in the world, Andorra. Spreading out across the Pyrenees mountain range, Grandvalira Resorts sets the stage for a unique cultural experience while delivering over 188 miles of ranging trails, multiple interconnected mountains and villages, and sparse, yet internationally diverse crowds. Though it is tiny, Andorra contains some of the most dramatic scenery, and the best skiing, in the Pyrenees with 65 peaks over 10,000 feet. Andorra has achieved the world record for the number of ski lifts per number of inhabitants in a country. Andorra is also known for the complete duty-free shopping where you’ll find the best price on electronics and cashmere sweaters, beer is inexpensive too!

If you follow the World Cup ski circuit, you know that Mikaela Shiffrin won the giant slalom in Andorra for her 88th World Cup title on 19 March 2023.

If you purchase your Ikon Pass through the Danbury Ski Club, you will also receive a discount on this trip! $100 for a FULL Ikon pass and $50 for the IKON Base pass.

"This tiny European country, which at 181 square miles is smaller than Chicago, could soon turn into one of the world’s biggest ski destinations. The mountainous country, situated between France and Spain, has long been known for its reliable December-to-April conditions thanks to its high-altitude perch in the Pyrenees. But now, for the first time, three Andorra ski areas have been added to the Ikon Pass, putting a collective 7,600 acres of downhill terrain across 215 runs and 123 lifts into play for holders of the global lift ticket. At the same time, the three destinations of Grandvalira, Ordino Arcalís, and Pal-Arinsal (or, collectively, the Grandvalira Resorts Andorra) will be available on a single local Andorra Pass, which starts at about $50 a day, a bargain by any big-mountain standards. Alternatively, visitors can opt for a newly launched Nord Pass, a multi-day ticket that works at both Ordino Arcalís and Pal-Arinsal for less than $40 per day.
