Fall Picnic & Open House - Saturday 9/20

Kick off the Fall and the return of Ski Season with your friends - old and new!

Save the date! Saturday September 20, 2025 - Rain or Shine! We will kick off the 2025-2026 season at Pelton Pond at Clarence Fahnestock State Park (Carmel, NY) which is only 30 min from Danbury!

The club will be providing a BBQ picnic lunch at a gorgeous site overlooking a pond. There is a covered pavilion in case of bad weather. Come and join us for fun, food, and games. Bring a friend to show them how much fun we have as a club. All we ask is for you to let us know how many people there will be, so we can estimate the food and beverages. If you have any dietary restrictions to Burgers, Hot Dogs, and Sausages, you should bring whatever food items you like. There is plenty of grilling space.

Register for Picnic

New York State Parks prohibit alcohol on site.

Address: Fahnestock State Park, 1498 NY-301, Carmel Hamlet, NY 10512

Learn to Tune Skis!

DK Tuning Skis

Ski Tuning with
DSC Race Director Dave Kiley

The DSC published a series of videos to teach ski tuning. Watch the videos and learn to sharpen and wax your skis for the best tune ever, and save money on tuning costs. An annual tuning clinic allows you to learn skills, practice sharpening, and have a good time with fellow DSC Members.
