Alpina Eclectic Hotel

One of the most popular hotels in Chamonix, with highly contemporary architecture, the fully renovated 4 star Alpina Hotel has a great look in the very center of Chamonix, a mythical resort if there ever was one. The hotel welcomes you to the very cradle of mountaineering, a meeting place for all mountain enthusiasts and lovers of wide open spaces. It's an unparalleled location for the ultimate mountain experience. An imposing piece of contemporary architecture conceived to hold within its walls all the services necessary for its exacting clientele: boutiques, art gallery, a large lounge with fireplace, a lively bar and a billiard corner. It is probably without a doubt that the new multi-functional 7th floor panoramic restaurant Le Vista, a light and airy space dominating Chamonix and facing the Mont-Blanc massif, will leave lasting memories as much for its cuisine as for its magical views.

The hotel is located directly across the street from the beginning of the Pedestrian Zone and less than 100 feet from the ski shuttle to all lifts. The hotel boats 140 rooms, a newly renovated lobby, lounge and bar as well as a beautiful rooftop restaurant. The hotel also offers 2 indoor Jacuzzis, 1 sauna, and a fitness room. There is a ski rental shop located in the hotel, as well as ground floor ski lockers to store your gear. You can read about the hotel on TripAdvisor.

    Other Considerations

    Not Skiing ?
There is still plenty to do in Chamonix. ShoppingSightseeingSpasCross Country Skiing, and more on Cross Country, and still moreSnow Shoeing.

    PASSPORT
You will need to possess a valid passport, that has an expiration date at least 6 months beyond the date you RETURN from Switzerland and France. Does your passport expire before 8/6/2022?  If it is expiring, please plan ahead and renew now. Should you require an entry visa, you are responsible for obtaining your visa. Visa regulations are always changing, you will need to check the latest regulations, especially if not traveling with a US passport.

    COVID-19
Please keep in mind that we still live in a world where COVID-19 is a reality. The requirements for international travel or entry into Switzerland and France may require vaccination. We do not currently know what all the requirements will be. Please plan ahead. There is already talk of an EU requirement for a Vaccine Passport. Some airlines are letting passengers enter vaccination proof.

Should France enter a lockdown next year, we will attempt to reroute the trip to available locations such as Switzerland, rather than cancel. The intent is to have this trip!

    (**) Final Pricing
Pricing for lift pass is based upon prior season costs. Actual costs may vary slightly and will be reflected in the final payment. Air taxes are subject to change until tickets are issued. You will be notified of the final payment amount should there be any change. We are trying hard to maintain the advertised price.

Please note that you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to go on the trip. The hotel is requiring vaccinations to enter the dining and bar areas. France is currently requiring non-vaccinated travelers to quarantine for 7 days.
